Question: 

Can few people put money together and make qurbani for a deceased person or for NABI SALLALLAHUALAYHEWASALLAM? 

Answer: 

Yes, it will be permissible for a group of people to collectively purchase an animal and slaughter it on behalf of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم or a deceased individual. Hadhrat Mufti Mahmood Hasan Saheb Gangohi (rahmatullahi alaih), who was renowned as the Grand Mufti of India has mentioned in Fataawa Mahmudiyya (Vol. 17, Pg. 405) that this is permissible.i
