My students want to
know what's the punishment for cleaning the eyebrows and cutting hair... Please can mufti Saheb
explain further...

Answer: 

Allah Ta'aala in His wisdom has created the male with certain characteristics and similarly the female with certain characteristics. This is the natural manner in which they have been created by Allah Ta'aala.

Shaytaan has vowed to lead the human being astray in various ways which has been mentioned in verses 118 – 121 of Surah Nisaa, which we have quoted below.

Allaah has cursed him (Shaytaan). He (Shaytaan) said (to Allaah when he was thrown out of Jannah), “I shall definitely take (claim for myself) a fixed share (of wealth, devotion, Ibaadah) from Your bondsmen.”

119. (He said further) “I will surely lead them astray and certainly instill hopes (of long lives and great wealth) within them. I shall definitely command (teach) them and (according to my teachings) they will cut the ears of animals (as the Arab Mushrikeen used to do). I will command (teach) them and (accordingly) they will certainly change (alter the appearance of) Allaah’s creation.” Whoever takes Shaytaan as his friend instead of Allaah has indeed incurred a manifest loss (because this friendship can lead him only to Jahannam).

120. He (Shaytaan) promises them (good results) and creates hopes (of long lives and great wealth) within them. (However) Shaytaan promises them only deception (because none of these promises and hopes will materialise).

121. The abode of these people is Jahannam and they will not find an escape from it.

Amongst the vows of Shaytaan is to change and alter the appearance of Allah’s creation such as making the man shave his beard, women pierce their bodies, attach hair braids and extensions to their hair, utilizing black dye to dye the hair, men resembling women and vice versa, etc. [Re:- Ma’aariful Quraan pg.313 Vol.2 Ml Idris Khandelwi Saheb Rahimahullah]

By women trimming and cutting their hair short, they will be resembling men and at the same time interfering with the natural creation of Allah Ta'aala. Similarly, Allah Ta'aala has designed the eyelashes and eyebrows in a particular manner, and by interfering with the hair or eyelashes and eyebrows one is also considered as interfering with the natural characteristics upon which one has been created. Now, by doing so, one will be befriending Shaytaan and the Quraan says that such a person has put himself into loss. Allah Ta'aala mentions that the abode of such people is Jahannam and they will find no escape from it.

In conclusion, we learn from the above verses that the final destination of one that befriends Shaytaan by altering and interfering with the creation of Allah Ta'aala is Jahannam, unless a person guilty of such wrongs sincerely repent and lead a life of obedience to Allah.
