Waqf of a jointly owned property

Question: 

If
zaid and amr own a house in partnership and zaid wants to make his 50 percent
waqf can he do so.  

Answer: 

In Shariah, the Waqf (endowment) of a portion of a common property is permitted; therefore, in the enquired case, Zaid is permitted to give his 50% in Waqf (endowment). (Fataawa Mahmudiyyah Vol. 21 Pg. 36)
