Allah Ta'aala has mentioned 3 primary objectives of Prophethood in the Holy Quran which are equally important and necessary.

Allah Ta'aala says: هُوَ الَّذِي بعََثَ فِِ الُْْ مي يَ رَسُولًً منْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيََتِهِ وَيزَُ كِيهِمْ وَيعَُل مُهُمُ ا لْكِتَابَ وَالِْْكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَا نل مُّ بِ ن ي

It is He who raised amidst the unlettered people (Arabs) a messenger (Nabi ) from among themselves who recites to them His verses, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the wisdom, while they were earlier in open error. 3:62

The primary objectives were, reciting the verses of the Holy Quran to the people, purifying them, and teaching them wisdom.

1. Reciting the verses of the Holy Quran, which simply means Dawat & Tableegh (calling and inviting people towards Haqq) and carried out especially by Tableegi Jamaat in the present era.

2. Purifying them refers to Tazkiya (purification and reformation from evil qualities) which is established in Khanqah these days.

3. Teaching them wisdom refers to Taleem & Ta’llum (teaching & learning) which is established in Madaris & Makatib nowadays.

As has been mentioned, they all are equally important and necessary. Besides this, since they all are correct and true, there is no clash and contradiction between them. Most importantly, all three should be brought alive. Some may concentrate on bringing one alive and others another, but those involved in bringing it alive should have all three in their lives. This is how we found all our elders. They specialized in some and aspired for the success of the others while personally practicing on the others. None are separated from the other. In other words, the Tableegi Jamaat is not empty of the other two aspects (Tazkiya and Taleem), and the similar would be said with regards to the other two (Khanqah and Madaris). Furthermore, the purpose of all three is to gain proximity to Allah Ta'aala, and to make His Deen flourish for our well-being and benefit.
