Question:
My
question is that If someone flying from UK for HAJJ.His flight is from UK
to Cairo and then Jeddah, Which place during his journey,he will wear his Ihraam for the HAJJ?
So,basically,its a transit flight..UK to Jeddah(For Hajj) VIA Cairo(Eqypt). Not
sure,at which place,we have to wear the Ihraam for Hajj. Its a long flight,so
wearing from UK will be a struggle, but if its a MUST, then we have to wear...but
its not clear to me.
Please explain.

Answer:
We assume that you are asking this question as you will possibly be crossing one Miqaat when travelling from the U.K to Cairo, and when travelling from Cairo to Jeddah you will have to cross the Miqaat for a second time.
If this is the case, then it is better to don the Ihram before crossing over the first Miqaat, that is, when travelling between U.K. and Cairo. However, if you did not don the Ihraam during this leg of your journey, then you are permitted to don the Ihraam before crossing the subsequent Miqaat (which is whilst travelling between Cairo and Jeddah.) There is no Damm (penalty) for adopting the above procedure.
