Question: 

What is the Islamic ruling of all the different types of insurances. e.g. life policy, car/property insurance, business insurance? 

Answer: 

We at the Darul Ifta do not approve of any form of voluntary insurance, hence we advise abstention. Hence all the voluntary types of insurance mentioned by you are not permissible.
