•Make a

3)If a
person gets a blood transfusion from a non Muslim is there anything wrong with
it?

Answer:

1. Donating blood is permitted at a time of severe need. [Re:- Kifaayatul Mufti Pg. 154 Vol.9 / Ahsanul Fataawa Pg.273 Vol.8] However, nowadays a number of blood banks have been established in various parts of the country. These blood banks after extracting the blood test it for diseases; ascertain the appropriate blood group and store it. The blood is then used at the time of necessity. There always exists a need for blood for patients in various hospitals in the country. Due to having to follow these stipulated procedures, one is permitted to donate blood in advance with the intention that the blood is readily available for use at the time of need.

2. It is not permissible to donate one’s organs neither during one’s lifetime nor after one’s demise. Therefore, it will not be permissible to make such a Wasiyyat. [Re:- Fataawa Mahmoodiyya Pg.336 Vol.18 Farooqiyya]

3. In this day and age, it would be difficult to receive blood from Muslims only, since the blood supplied to various hospitals come from blood banks. These blood banks do not differentiate between the blood of Muslims from non-Muslims. Therefore, in the case of severe necessity receiving blood whether from Muslims or non-Muslims would be permitted.
