Appointing an heir as an executor

Can the Wasiy (executor of the estate) appoint someone else to make distribution of the estate, even if that person is an heir? What if all the heirs agree to it and are happy with it?

Answer:

If the current executor appoints an heir as his executor (to attend to the distribution of the estate) then doing so will be acceptable, more so when the rest of the heirs are happy with it.

I have been appointed as an executor of a deceased's estate. there are certain family members that are assisting me to wind up the estate. what are my duties as an executor?
