Children standing in the adult's Saff

Question:

If the first or any other Saff of adults is not full and a child of understand age ( not mature) , 9 or 10 years old came to stand next to the adults, What should be done?

Many times, the child commences the salaat and a little later , an adult comes and moves him away behind to form (his own) or join the children's Saff. Is this correct or should the child be left as is and the adult should stand next to him?

What is the ruling with small non-baaligh kids standing in the first saffs next to their fathers and other adults?

Answer:

The first thing to bear in mind is that very small children (i.e. below the age of seven) from whom one fears a racket or a mess in the Masjid should not be brought to the Masjid.i

The primary ruling, when it comes to children, is that they should stand in a separate Saff behind the Sufoof of the adults.ii

Pillars between the Saffs

Question:

A Masjid has been constructed such that there are pillars in between the Sufuf. The Musallis are therefore compelled to leave a gap where the pillars appear. Does this affect the validity of the Salaat?

Answer:

In the enquired case, it does not affect the validity of the Salah and Salah will be sound and correct.i

Standing alone in the second Saff

Question:

During
Salaat with Jamaat, if a brother is alone in the 2nd saf, Should he remain
alone or request one brother from the saff in front to come back & join him?
