Please advise:

If the
girl's parents don't want nikah to be done early due to some family members not
being around

However the
girl and the boys family want Nikah to be done asap because of the hadeeth 
that nikah shouldn't be delayed 

Is it
permissible for girl to against her parents wish and push for nikah to be done
early? 

Answer: 

Although, a girl, who is sane and mature, is allowed to marry without the consent of her parents as long as she gets married in Kufoo’ (suitability in religion, piety, wealth, profession, etc.); yet, it is not preferable and deemed somehow immodest in Shariah. Since she can marry without consent when there is Kufu’ (suitability); subsequently, she will also be allowed to get married earlier in the enquired case (where the family is pleased with this marriage and there is no objection with regards to the Kufu’). This is the ruling; however, we would like to advise you that, since marriage is a source and means of love and families coming together, you should speak to your parents and explain to them that it is not necessary for everyone from the family to attend the wedding and Nikah ceremony. In a Hadith, Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has said that we should not delay in marriages.(Tirmithi #1084). Moreover, there is famous incident where a Sahabi got married and Nabi was not invited nor informed about the wedding; furthermore, when Nabi learned about his marriage through his appearance, he did not complain nor did the Sahabi feel bad, due to not inviting Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.(Bukhari #5153) They are our role models and we ought to follow their footsteps.

In essence, you can demand to get married earlier; however, handle this with ease, wisdom and tact. Respectfully explain to them the matter at hand and request them to get you married as soon as possible or ask a respectable family member or local Aalim to do the convincing.
