Will a patient in hospital make Qadha of Qasr or full Salaat?

Question: 

Covid patients from our town travel to Millpark for treatment. Many are aware that they will be admitted into hospital. Their duration of stay in hospital is unknown. Many of these patients miss Salaat whilst in hospital and hence are required to make Qadha. When making Qadha, are they required to make Qadha of Qasr or the full Salaat?

Validity of Salaat before its time while bedridden

Question: 

I was
bedridden and in hospital after a spinal operation for 2 months. During this
period of time , Someone use to help me make tayamum and i use to perform
salah. The problem was that visiting hours were from 2pm to 4pm , so I use to
read zuhar salah at it's prescribed time and asr before it's time.



- I'd like to inquire if i need to make qaza of those asr salah ?

1. Is the usage of Medical Aid permissible? If not, are there any cases in which it would be permissible to use it? 
2. Is the usage, taking benefit from hospital plans permissible? 

Answer: 
All conventional insurance policies and schemes contain elements of interest, gambling and Gharar (uncertainty), that are forbidden in shariah.

What is the ruling aroung medical aid and hospital plans? Are they Jaa'iz or not? 

Answer: 
Our Darul Ifta does not approve of any form of medical insurance or hospital plan due to them containing the element of gambling and Riba. Yes, the scenario will be slightly different if medical aid is enforced upon an employee by the employer in which case the employee is permitted to take benefit from the medical aid cover. However, under normal circumstances it is impermissible to subscribe to such a policy.
