Draping stages for Jalsas

What is the ruling on draping is one allowed to attend jalsas with draping on the stage?

Islam encourages simplicity in every sphere of our lives. Therefore, it will be makrooh to adorn walls and stages with drapes that serve no other purpose besides decoration.i However, this should not deter one from attending an Islamic gathering.

Are Seerat Jalsas in Rabi'ul Awwal correct in Islam?
